I have handled many official U.S. Mint cancelled dies including an incredible United States $20 1882 Obverse Die. This die was authenticated by Fred Weinberg, the former PCGS authenticator for mint errors, and in his October 16, 2000 letter, he mentions handling "tens of thousands of totally de-faced modern coinage dies from the Denver Mint."
