World Mint Errors

I wanted to share some of my recent world mint error purchases with the readers of Mint Error News Magazine.

1876 German 10 Pfenning ANACS VF-30
Struck on a 5 Pfennig planchet. Incredibly Rare Early Off-Metal. What would this be worth if it was a U.S. coin?





1918 German 10 Pfenning PCGS MS-63
Double Struck-second strike 70% off-center. Uniface obverse second strike. Very dramatic second strike spread.





1975 Mexico 1 Peso PCGS MS-66
Struck on a 50 Centavo planchet.





1975 Mexico 1 Peso PCGS MS-66
On 50 Centavo planchet + Clips. This wrong planchet also has two small clips hidden by the insert, still a fun wrong metal planchet.

Struck on a 20 Centavo planchet.





1978 Canada 1 Cent PCGS MS-64
Double Denomination on a 1977 DIME. Both full dates show, extremely strong on the reverse. Very dramatic-Great detail.





1982 Canadian Dime PCGS MS-62
MULED- with 1982 1c Reverse Die. A unique muling. Same as 1999 Cent/Dime that sold this year for $138,000.





1998 Canadian Dime PCGS MS-66RD
Unplated Multi-Ply Planchet intended for 1999 Test pieces. It is copper color obverse and reverse.





2000 Canada Half on SAC $1 PCGS MS-64
UNIQUE- Struck on a Sacagawea Dollar planchet! This coin was first discovered in 2001.





N.D. Canadian Nickel PCGS MS-63
Struck with Two Obverse Dies. A genuine Two-Headed Nickel.





1989 Cuba 10 Centavos PCGS MS-64
Struck on an Elliptical Clipped planchet. The first major Error Cuban coin I’ve ever handled.





1990 Isle of Man 1/5th Crown PCGS MS-67
Struck with Platinum Dies. This is probably the highest grade. Single piece does not come with normal gold coin.





2005 Great Britain 1 Pound PCGS MS-62
Struck on 5.7 gram planchet. An off-metal on a smaller chocolate-color foreign planchet.





2005 Great Britain 10 Pence PCGS MS-64
Struck on a 5 Pence planchet. Brilliant PL & PQ.





N.D. Great Britain 10 Pence PCGS MS-62
Struck on a 1.9 gram Octagonal planchet. An eye-catching Brass-colored planchet. Looks Gold.





N.D. Great Britain 50 Pence PCGS MS-64
Struck on a 20 Pence planchet. Weight: 3.3 grams/51 grains.





ND (1970-80 Type) Mex. 50C. PCGS MS-66
Struck on a 20 Centavo planchet.





2001 India 50 Paise PCGS MS-64
Struck on a 25 Paise planchet. Also has a double rolling fold @ 3:30.

Struck with Two Reverse Dies. A “Two-Drum’d Reverse”.





2004 Malaysia 1 Sen PCGS MS-65RD
2pc. Bonded Multi-Struck Pair. Two coins bonded/struck together. Struck numerous times and is Half Dollar size in diameter.

Struck on a 1 Sen 1.7 gram planchet. A nice simple basic off-metal.
